Medical Director Key Responsibilities & Duties • Provide expert medical care to patients, focusing on HIV/AIDS treatment in an outpatient setting. • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans. • Oversee clinical operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and protocols. • Participate in research and initiatives aimed at advancing LGBTQ+ and HIV health. • Lead administrative duties, including scheduling, reporting, and team management. • Mentor and supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to enhance team performance. • Ensure patient satisfaction and quality of care through continuous improvement processes. • Stay updated on medical advancements and integrate best practices into patient care. Medical Director Job Requirements • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with a valid Medical Board license (state-specific). • Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably 7 years, in outpatient care. • Proficiency in diagnosing and treating HIV/AIDS patients in a primary care setting. • Comfortable working with LGBTQ+ community and diverse patient populations. • Valid DEA and furnishing license; current CPR/BLS certification. • AAHIVM Certification required within 18 months of hire. • Experience leading healthcare teams and managing clinical operations. • Strong administrative and organizational skills for clinic management.
