Medical Director Key Responsibilities & Duties • Provide primary care services to patients, focusing on HIV/AIDS treatment and LGBTQ+ health. • Supervise and mentor Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) within the clinic. • Ensure compliance with medical and regulatory standards in clinical practices. • Collaborate with administrative staff to optimize clinic operations and patient satisfaction. • Conduct clinical and administrative duties, balancing patient care with operational oversight. • Participate in shared call schedules, maintaining availability for urgent consultations. • Engage in community health initiatives and research efforts to advance HIV/AIDS care. • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in all interactions. • Support professional development through CME stipend and training opportunities. Medical Director Job Requirements • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with active state-specific Medical Board license. • Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably 7 years in a relevant field. • Valid DEA and Furnishing license required for prescribing medications. • Experience in treating HIV/AIDS patients in outpatient primary care settings. • AAHIVM Certification to be obtained within 18 months of hire. • Current CPR/BLS certification mandatory for emergency response readiness. • Proficiency in managing up to 15-18 patients per day effectively. • Comfortable working with LGBTQ+ community and addressing their specific health needs. • Strong leadership skills to guide and support clinical teams.
