Staff Physician Key Responsibilities & Duties • Provide primary care services to patients, focusing on HIV/AIDS treatment and LGBTQ+ health needs. • Diagnose and manage chronic conditions in an outpatient setting, ensuring high-quality care delivery. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. • Maintain compliance with medical regulations and standards, including obtaining AAHIVM certification within 18 months. • Participate in shared call schedules to ensure continuity of care for patients. • Utilize electronic health records to document patient interactions and treatment plans accurately. • Engage in professional development opportunities, including CME activities and certification programs. • Educate patients and their families on disease management and preventive care strategies. • Contribute to organizational research efforts and community health initiatives. Staff Physician Job Requirements • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Infectious Disease. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in outpatient primary care, preferably treating HIV/AIDS patients. • Valid DEA and Furnishing license, along with current CPR/BLS certification. • Comfortable working with LGBTQ+ communities and diverse patient populations. • Ability to manage a patient load of 15-18 patients per day effectively. • Commitment to obtaining AAHIVM certification within 18 months of hire. • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work within a multidisciplinary team. • Proficiency in electronic health record systems and documentation practices. • Dedication to advancing community health and contributing to impactful research.
