A formal household, with homes on the Upper East side and in the Hamptons, needs to hire an experienced, polished, and highly hands-on Executive Housekeeper/ Assistant House Manager to support their primarily Manhattan-based household, with seasonal support at their Southampton residence. Responsibilities include: maintaining the family’s standards of cleanliness and presentation across both residences, pet care for two small dogs. In Manhattan, the focus will be on oversight and coordination, including managing supplies and inventories, household organization, guest readiness, and coordinating with existing staff and vendors. In Southampton, responsibilities will be more hands-on and include heavier cleaning, laundry, linens, wardrobe care, and ensuring the residence is fully prepared for the family and guests. The family employs a chef who works full-time during peak seasons, though this role will occasionally assist with light weekday meal preparation. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned private-service professional whose background is firmly rooted in high-end housekeeping and household presentation, but who also brings broader household management experience and the ability to take ownership of day-to-day household needs. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a larger household team. A valid driver’s license is required, and prior experience working in a formal Manhattan household is a must. Coverage rotates among team members and includes alternating weekend coverage, such as Thursday through Sunday. Applicants should expect to work five days per week, approximately 10–12+ hours per day depending on the season and activity level of the residence. This position is live-out while in Manhattan but requires the flexibility to live in while working in Southampton. Salary range: $120,000–$160,000+ base range, plus benefits. Immediate start.
