Job Details: Job Location: Downhill Ski Resort - Truckee, CA, Position Type: Seasonal, Salary Range: $26.37 - $36.39Hourly, Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Other, POSITION SUMMARY The Rental Shop Operations Supervisor assists with all daily operations of the rental shop, ensuring rental inventory, repairs and returns are handled efficiently and appropriately.  This position ensures that all interaction with our members, guests, and the general public are held to the highest standards, by maintaining an enthusiastic and professional work environment consistent with the policies of Tahoe Donner Association.  This position reports to the Assistant Director of Winter Operations.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all inclusive for specific positions).   Provide excellent customer service to members, guests, business partners and employees.  Ensures all staff meet or exceed the highest level of guest service in the performance of their duties. Attends to all guest issues, researching and resolving issues in a timely manner with professionalism, communicates feedback regarding issue and resolution to the appropriate  parties. Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of Tahoe Donner Association products, amenities and pricing. Confidently manage guest expectations and seamlessly ensure satisfactory service recovery. Collaborates with management in the hiring of seasonal staff, assists with performance reviews as well as payroll.  Assists with hourly staff schedule and the purchasing of office supplies. Supervises rental staff members, including supervision of daily activities and operations within the rental shop. Assist with training of rental shop staff. Performs opening and closing procedures for Rental Shop daily.  Sets up and organizes rental shop at the beginning of the winter season. Perform all major repairs for customer and rental equipment. Maintain and tests rental equipment for correct function per industry standards. Collect money from customers who purchase rentals. Prevents theft internally and externally at all times. Assist with snow removal including shoveling and clearing snow from walkways, stairs, equipment and other areas as needed. Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: JOB QUALIFICATIONS Ability to lift boots, bindings and skis frequently throughout each shift. Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds. Ability to operate all tuning equipment and general tools. Ability to stand for long periods of time while assisting guest needs. Familiarity with Resort Technology Partners (RTP) software a plus Attention to detail and problem-solving skills required. Team Management skills required. Strong computer proficiency, including typing skills and the ability to navigate through multiple computer systems required. Ski School Background preferred. Ski Binding Certifications Required. Requires possession or valid Class C Driver License with a driving record meeting the minimum standards required by the Association insurance Carrier. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid Certifications recommended.   These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a High School Diploma or equivalent and two to three years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of formal training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform all of the duties of the position.
