Senior Project Manager – Pharmaceutical Supply Chain & Network Optimization Location: Remote (East Coast candidates preferred) Job Type: Contract – 12 months, with potential for extension Compensation: $75–$80/hour W2 Schedule: Full-time Start Date: ASAP About the Opportunity Our client, a leading global pharmaceutical organization, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support a large-scale supply chain and manufacturing network optimization initiative. This program involves complex, cross-functional efforts to optimize the pharmaceutical manufacturing footprint, transition products between manufacturing sites, and manage changes involving external manufacturing partners. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical product lifecycle and portfolio, with hands-on experience supporting external manufacturing, product transfers, supply chain optimization, and manufacturing network transformation. This individual will work closely with program leadership and global project teams to drive execution, maintain accountability, monitor financials, and ensure timely, accurate reporting across multiple workstreams. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned project management professional who can operate independently in a complex, global pharmaceutical environment and help drive critical operational and strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities • Program & Project Management: Support a large, multi-workstream pharmaceutical network optimization program, coordinating project plans, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and execution across multiple initiatives. • External Manufacturing & Product Transfers: Coordinate projects involving external manufacturing partners, product transfers, manufacturing site transitions, and changes to the pharmaceutical manufacturing network. • Supply Chain Optimization: Support strategic initiatives focused on manufacturing footprint optimization, supply continuity, operational efficiency, and product portfolio transitions. • Pharmaceutical Portfolio Coordination: Maintain an understanding of product portfolios, manufacturing dependencies, project interrelationships, and potential operational or supply chain impacts. • Governance & Reporting: Maintain program dashboards, project trackers, status reports, and executive-level materials. Coordinate program reviews, leadership updates, and recurring meetings with project leads and sponsors. • Financial Management: Track project budgets, forecasts, resource requirements, and financial performance; identify variances and escalate concerns as appropriate. • Risk & Issue Management: Monitor risks, issues, decisions, dependencies, and critical milestones. Drive follow-up and accountability to keep workstreams on track. • Global Stakeholder Coordination: Partner with cross-functional teams, project leaders, and senior stakeholders across the U.S. and Europe to ensure alignment, clear communication, and timely resolution of issues. • Leadership Support: Provide direct support to program leadership, proactively identify gaps, prepare meeting materials, document decisions, and follow through on outstanding actions. • Hands-On Project Execution: Take ownership of individual project management activities as needed, balancing strategic program-level coordination with detailed execution. Required Qualifications • 8+ years of project or program management experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or broader life sciences industry. • Demonstrated experience supporting pharmaceutical supply chain optimization, manufacturing network transformation, product transfers, or manufacturing site transitions. • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical product portfolios, manufacturing operations, and the complexities of maintaining product supply through operational changes. • Experience working with external manufacturing organizations, contract manufacturing partners, CMOs, or CDMOs. • Proven ability to coordinate multiple concurrent projects or workstreams in a complex, matrixed environment. • Experience with program governance, executive reporting, dashboards, project tracking, risk management, and issue escalation. • Strong financial management skills, including budget tracking, forecasting, and monitoring project-level financials. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence without direct authority and drive accountability across teams. • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable operating independently with minimal direction. • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and project management or reporting tools. Preferred Qualifications • Experience supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing footprint optimization or network rationalization initiatives. • Direct involvement in external manufacturing transitions, manufacturing partner exits, site closures, or product relocation between manufacturing facilities. • Experience coordinating global initiatives involving stakeholders across North America and Europe. • Background in pharmaceutical operations, technical operations, supply chain, manufacturing, or portfolio management. • Experience supporting senior leadership reviews and large-scale transformation programs. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a confident, detail-oriented project manager who understands that pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply chain initiatives require more than traditional project tracking. They can connect product portfolio considerations with manufacturing and supply chain dependencies, manage competing priorities across multiple workstreams, and ensure project leaders remain accountable for commitments. This person should be comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, identifying risks before they become critical issues, and following up persistently while maintaining a collaborative, professional approach. They must be equally effective preparing executive dashboards and working directly with project teams to resolve day-to-day execution challenges. This job opens for applications on 10/29/2026. Applications for this job will be accepted for at least 30 days from the posting date. #LI-KP1 #LI-HYBRID
