Job Title Travel RN – Emergency Room (ER) Location Tallahassee, FL | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | Expected three 12-hour shifts/week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care in a 39-bed Emergency Department with a 1:4 patient ratio • Assist with emergency lifesaving procedures including intubation, chest tubes, moderate sedation, lumbar puncture, laceration repair, and blood product administration • Operate unit equipment including Crash Carts, Level One, Alaris Pumps, and Dash bedside cardiac monitors; document care using MediTech • Conduct 30-minute to 1-hour patient rounding and perform bedside shift reports to support patient experience standards • Collaborate with unit secretaries and 2–3 floor technicians to maintain efficient patient throughput • Float to ER hold unit as needed when the department is at capacity Required Qualifications • Active RN license valid for the state of Florida • ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience • Ability to multi-task and maintain focus on patient throughput in a fast-paced environment • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills • Must adhere to facility dress code: black scrubs required Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience with MediTech electronic documentation system • Proficiency with Alaris Pumps and Dash bedside cardiac monitors • Experience performing or assisting with procedures such as moderate sedation, chest tubes, and lumbar puncture • Prior travel nursing experience in an emergency department setting Why Join Us • Work within a fully accredited, 266-bed acute-care facility offering a broad range of specialty services including a Pediatric ER, Senior Care ER, and Express Care ER • Join a collaborative emergency department team supported by unit secretaries and technicians in a facility committed to high-quality, compassionate patient care
