Job Title Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Stepdown Location Marshfield, WI | Cardiac Stepdown / IMC Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend and every other holiday required Key Responsibilities • Provide direct nursing care to cardiac medical and surgical patients including post-cath lab (stent, pacemaker, ICD, Watchman, mitral clip, TAVR) and post-cardiac surgery (CABG, valve replacements) populations • Manage and titrate drips including Nitroglycerin, Heparin, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Lasix, Bumex, and Dobutamine; no vasopressors on this unit • Manage TR band compression devices and care for patients presenting with chest pain, CHF, arrhythmias, syncope, and bradycardia requiring temporary pacemakers • Collaborate with 24/7 Respiratory Therapy team; RNs are responsible for incentive spirometry while RT manages nebulizers, inhalers, CPAP, BiPAP, and Vapotherm • Float to other units as needed based on census; adhere to block scheduling as determined by unit needs • Clock in and out at the facility for all shifts; participate in unit-based orientation including HR onboarding and unit orientation shifts Required Qualifications • Active RN license valid in the state of Wisconsin • ACLS certification required • BLS certification required • Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in a busy hospital environment • Experience with post-procedural cath lab patients and post-cardiac surgical patients • Experience managing TR band compression devices and chest pain patients Preferred Experience / Skills • Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in a stepdown or IMC setting • Experience titrating cardiac drips in a non-critical care environment • Comfort working within a charge RN model where the charge nurse carries a modified patient assignment Why Join Us • Work in a specialized 29-bed cardiac stepdown unit supported by 24/7 central telemetry monitoring and around-the-clock respiratory therapy coverage • Structured unit environment with defined nurse-to-patient ratios and nurse aide support across all shifts
