Job Title Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Location Marshfield, WI | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | Onsite | Shifts available: 0700–1930, 1100–2330, 2300–0700 | Every other weekend and every other holiday required Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care on a 29-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit serving ortho trauma, vascular, urology, neuro-spine, OB/GYN oncology, and acute medical patients • Titrate drips (including heparin, nitroglycerin, bivalirudin, Cardizem, and insulin) following a prescribed nomogram • Manage wound dressing changes, continuous bladder irrigation, and post-operative care as applicable to patient population • Collaborate with telemetry techs (monitoring 24/7), charge nurses, house supervisors, nursing assistants, and respiratory therapy staff • Assume expanded responsibilities for vital signs and ADLs during evening and overnight shifts when CNA coverage is reduced • Float to other adult medical/surgical nursing units as needed Required Qualifications • Active RN license in good standing • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required • Minimum 1–2 years of acute care nursing experience • Must live at least 80 miles from the facility to be eligible for standard contract rates; candidates residing within 80 miles are considered local and subject to a reduced rate Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience with heparin drip titration and vascular patient populations • Familiarity with CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy (ventilator experience not required) • Prior experience in a block-scheduled, charge-nurse-led unit environment Why Join Us • Work on a well-supported unit with 24/7 telemetry tech coverage, respiratory therapy on-site, and house supervisor presence on all shifts • Structured orientation including computer training and precepted floor orientation to set you up for success
