Job Title Travel RN – Labor & Delivery Location Nashville, TN | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Three 12-hour shifts per week | Expected 36 hours/week | Scheduling includes 3 weekend shifts and 1 call shift per scheduling period Key Responsibilities • Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients and newborns immediately following delivery • Circulate and recover patients undergoing cesarean sections • Support procedures including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&C, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, and tub labor • Document patient care using CPN and Meditech systems • Maintain a 1:2 patient ratio within a 12-bed Labor & Delivery unit • Float to other units as needed per facility floating policy (travelers float first) Required Qualifications • Active RN license valid in the state of Tennessee • Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience • BLS certification required • ACLS certification required • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required • AWHONN Intermediate (not Advanced) or CEFM certification required Preferred Experience / Skills • Familiarity with CPN and Meditech electronic documentation systems • Experience circulating and recovering C-section patients • Experience with tub labor and epidural anesthesia support Why Join Us • Work alongside a supportive team that includes unit secretaries and OR techs in a well-structured Women's and Children's care environment • Gain experience in a full-scope Labor & Delivery unit performing a wide variety of obstetric procedures
