Job Title Registered Nurse – PICU Location Cleveland, OH | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM Key Responsibilities • Provide specialized nursing care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting for patients up to 25 years of age • Perform epilepsy monitoring and deliver specialized care across all applicable age groups • Administer and monitor inotropes and interpret EKG/ECG rhythms as part of patient care • Complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with an acceptable passing score • Participate in holiday coverage, with an expected commitment to work at least every other holiday • Complete required annual hands-on competency training and pre-start modules as directed Required Qualifications • Minimum of 12 months of permanent employment experience in PICU or the specialty being applied for • Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted • Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission • Active ACLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission • Active PALS certification — must be in hand at time of submission • One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months is required (co-worker references will not be accepted) • Local candidates are welcome and will be considered at the same rate Preferred Experience / Skills • NIHSS certification preferred • Experience with epilepsy monitoring in a pediatric or multi-age critical care environment • Prior experience in a high-acuity PICU setting with a broad pediatric patient population Why Join Us • Opportunity to work in a high-acuity, specialized pediatric critical care environment at a nationally recognized medical campus • Contract extensions may be available for eligible candidates, offering the potential for continued placement
