Job Title Registered Nurse – Step Down (IMC/PCU/Stepdown) Location Cleveland, OH | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Day/Night Rotating Shifts | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care in a Step Down/IMC/PCU setting, with potential to float to similar units caring for the same patient population • Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition • Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans • Complete required orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate with an acceptable passing score • Expected to work at least every other holiday as part of the standard scheduling rotation Required Qualifications • Minimum of 12 months permanent experience in IMC/PCU/Step Down specialty • Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission • Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission • Active ACLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission • Active NIHSS certification — must be in hand at time of submission • One professional reference required from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months (co-worker references are not accepted) Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience within a single facility or location for the required specialty tenure • Familiarity with ECG rhythm interpretation and medication safety assessment tools • Prior travel nursing experience in a large acute care or academic medical center environment Why Join Us • Opportunity to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced Step Down environment within a nationally recognized health system • Local candidates are welcome and considered at the same rate as traveling candidates
