Job Title Registered Nurse – PCU / Stepdown (IMC) Location Dayton, OH | Progressive Care Unit (PCU / Stepdown) Schedule / Job Type Contract (13-week or 18-week) | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 or 48 hours per week | Onsite Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Stepdown unit with targeted patient ratios of 1:4 (ratios may reach 1:5–1:6 based on census and unit needs) • Monitor and manage patients requiring telemetry and EKG interpretation, including those with stable chronic ventilator needs • Utilize Epic EMR for all documentation and charting throughout the shift • Float within the unit or to other units/campuses as directed, based on skill set and census; travelers are first to float at the facility's discretion • Maintain availability to work every other weekend and every other holiday as required • Complete up to 24 hours of orientation modules prior to or at the start of the assignment Required Qualifications • Active RN license in any U.S. state or valid compact nursing license • BLS and ACLS certifications required • NIH Stroke Scale certification required • Epic EMR experience required • Must pass an online EKG/Dysrhythmia competency assessment within 72 hours of signing the contract • Experience with stable chronic ventilator patients required • Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience; experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 facility preferred • Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Preferred Experience / Skills • IV Start certification or demonstrated IV insertion proficiency • Prior travel nursing experience • Background in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma or acute care environment • Familiarity with N95 fit testing or PAPR use in specialized unit settings Why Join Us • Flexible contract lengths of 13 or 18 weeks available, with the option for a 48-hour workweek structure where overtime is paid after 48 hours • Opportunity to gain experience within a multi-campus health system with exposure to a variety of patient populations and care settings
