Job Title Registered Nurse – PCU (Progressive Care Unit) Location Columbus, OH | IMC/PCU/Stepdown Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Expected 36 hours/week | Some weekends required | Onsite Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Stepdown) setting during night shifts • Monitor and manage telemetry patients, interpreting cardiac rhythms and responding appropriately • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Epic EMR • Float within the facility campus as needed to support staffing across units • Participate in weekend rotations as part of the standard scheduling expectation Required Qualifications • Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license) must be in hand at time of submission • Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a PCU, IMC, or Stepdown setting • BLS certification required • ACLS certification required • Telemetry experience required • Epic EMR experience required • Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program • 2 professional references required; at least 1 must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership role (Charge RN acceptable as second reference; coworker references not accepted) • Local candidates are welcome and accepted Preferred Experience / Skills • Prior travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers will be considered • Experience managing a high-acuity patient population in a large academic or teaching hospital environment • Demonstrated ability to float and adapt quickly across similar care settings Why Join Us • Opportunity to gain experience in a high-volume, academically affiliated medical center environment • First-time travelers are encouraged to apply, making this an accessible opportunity for those beginning their travel nursing career
