Description Warehouse Lead Position Summary: The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment, ensuring efficient material flow, inventory accuracy, and adherence to safety and quality standards. This role supports production by coordinating inbound and outbound logistics, supervising warehouse staff, and maintaining organized and compliant storage practices. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: • Lead and coordinate daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of materials and finished goods • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to production lines • Monitor inventory levels and maintain high accuracy through cycle counts and audits • Train, mentor, and support warehouse team members to meet performance and safety expectations • Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance (e.g., OSHA standards) • Collaborate with production, shipping, and quality teams to ensure smooth operations • Identify process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize space utilization • Operate and oversee the use of warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, scales, pallet jacks) • Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse conditions (5S principles preferred) • Assist in scheduling and assigning daily tasks to warehouse personnel • Help all employees understand policies and procedures and brings issues to supervisor if there are concerns or violations • Maintain an effective dialogue with all employees to foster good employee morale • Any other duties assigned by supervisor. Performance Metrics (KPIs): • Inventory Accuracy (%) • Order Picking Accuracy • Cycle count accuracy • On time material delivery to production • Inventory Adjustments ($ or qty) • Root Cause Resolutions Implemented • Training • ERP Transaction Accuracy Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED • 2–5 years of warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment • 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience • Strong knowledge of inventory control and warehouse operations • Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift certification preferred) • Basic computer skills (ERP/WMS systems, Microsoft Office) • Strong communication and problem-solving skills Preferred: • Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices • Familiarity with ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) • OSHA safety training or certification Physical/Mental Essential Functions: • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly • Standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods • Ability to work in varying temperatures typical of warehouse environments Working Conditions: Work environment is very fast paced.
