Description Diagnose machine and equipment malfunctions and dismantle, repair and rebuild as necessary. • Communicate problems and repair schedules to operating departments. • Plan and perform operations to move, position, align, level and secure machines and equipment. • Maintain hydraulic, air, gas, water, ventilation, cutting/welding, overhead lifting and power transmission systems. Requirements Broad knowledge of various trade fundamentals sufficient to perform general maintenance duties. • Sound knowledge of necessary techniques to align and fit shafts, bearings and bushings. • Proficiency with variety of measuring and leveling devices. • Completed apprenticeship in maintenance or similar education and experience. • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs., work in awkward positions and at heights.
