This is an exciting new role overseeing a Corporate Secretarial function of a large and growing Private Equity, Hedge fund and Real Estate Administration business. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader to oversee a function across Mumbai / Hyderabad, so leadership qualities are key to doing this role well. In addition to leading a local team, you will be working closely with teams across multiple Indian locations (Mumbai and Hyderabad) working closely with senior management in Europe. You will bring strong commercial acumen, and enjoy working closely with internal and external clients at the firm, adding value to the global CoSec chain. Operationally, you are skilled at leading projects, thinking through new ways of doing things, improving the business as you go. You can work with influence to ensure that the department grows in the best way possible in the interests of our clients. Day to Day Responsibilities: Management: • Lead, coach and develop the India CoSec teams across locations, building leadership capability through delegation, knowledge transfer and succession planning. • Drive a culture of ownership and accountability, with clear responsibility for deliverables and greater team independence. • Lead workforce and capacity planning, including headcount, recruitment, resource allocation and onboarding to support business growth. • Translate business, financial and client KPIs into clear team objectives, monitoring performance and driving best practices. • Maintain high standards of service delivery, driving process efficiencies, quality improvements and opportunities for business growth. • Provide effective oversight across locations, ensuring appropriate stakeholder coverage and acting as an escalation point where required. • Lead the India CoSec Leadership forum, driving strategic and operational alignment, collaboration, decision-making and execution. Compliance / Governance: • Implement and maintain robust processes, procedures and controls to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and external obligations. • Ensure adherence to the company’s governance and control framework, including audit, risk and compliance, business continuity and applicable local regulatory requirements, while fostering a strong control environment that safeguards the firm’s assets and reputation. Stakeholder work / responsibility: • Own end-to-end migration programs, from planning and implementation through stabilization. • Drive Risk Event governance, ensuring timely identification, appropriate remediation and alignment with policy, Controls Office and governance requirements. • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of management information presented to leadership. • Strengthen the processes for chargeability of time for the clients, KPI governance and reporting frameworks to drive consistent and accurate reporting across migrated and direct clients. • Standardize processes across direct client portfolios to enable a scalable and consistent operating model. • Translate global CoSec priorities into actionable plans, with clear ownership, effective execution and measurable outcomes. • Lead cross-jurisdictional outsourcing governance, maintaining effective oversight of reporting, controls and deliverables. • Drive continuous improvement and scalability across the function to support evolving business requirements. • Lead CoSec transformation and automation initiatives, including solution implementation, stakeholder alignment, testing and adoption. • Drive service quality and operational excellence by identifying process and quality gaps, addressing root causes and embedding sustainable controls to reduce recurring issues. Profile: • Company Secretarial qualification and/or Law degree preferred; other relevant professional qualifications will also be considered. • 18+ years of corporate experience, including at least 10 years in senior managerial roles, with demonstrated experience leading large teams within an international organization. • Strong experience operating in an international environment, with project management capability and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. • Sound understanding of Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Real Assets Funds and SPV structures, including relevant reporting and European statutory and regulatory requirements. • Proven ability to lead, develop and motivate teams, while fostering a positive, collaborative and sustainable working environment. • Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and optimizing Company Secretarial processes, particularly within Private Equity, Real Assets and SPV administration. • Fluent in English, with advanced Microsoft Office skills and a strong interest in transformation, automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
