Job Title Registered Nurse – PCU / IMC / Stepdown Location Eureka, CA | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:00–06:30) Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Intermediate Care / Stepdown unit setting • Monitor and assess patient conditions, adjusting care plans as appropriate throughout the shift • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes • Float to sister facilities nearby the contracted facility as needed • Complete required onboarding and annual compliance modules prior to and during assignment • Adhere to facility scheduling expectations, including commitment to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Required Qualifications • Active RN license required; Compact license must be in hand at time of submission • Minimum 1 year of experience in PCU, IMC, or Stepdown nursing • All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal — post-offer requests may not be granted • Must live within 50 miles of the facility (locals accepted) • 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start (Charge RNs and Leads accepted) • Background must be clear — facility does not accept background hits Preferred Experience / Skills • Prior travel nursing experience in a PCU or Stepdown environment • Familiarity with large health system workflows and compliance processes • Demonstrated flexibility with scheduling and willingness to float within a health system Why Join Us • Work in a well-supported travel nursing environment with clear compliance expectations and structured onboarding • Communication devices needed for the assignment may be provided at no cost to the traveler
