Job Title Registered Nurse – ICU (Float Pool) Location Mission Viejo, CA | Acute Care Hospital Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care in the ICU setting with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio • Float between ICU floors and, as needed, to lower-acuity units such as telemetry — floating may occur up to 100% of shifts • May be required to float to a nearby sister facility as directed by unit needs • Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records • Commit to working a minimum of every other weekend, with the expectation that weekend frequency may increase to meet unit needs • Must be available to work 3 of the 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day Required Qualifications • Active, unencumbered RN license — compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses are not accepted • Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale • Must be open to floating to lower-acuity units, including telemetry, for up to 100% of shifts • All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial submission; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard rate Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience working in a float pool or multi-unit environment • Familiarity with Epic charting system • Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting Why Join Us • Free on-site parking available • Opportunity to gain diverse clinical experience across ICU and step-down environments in a large, well-established acute care facility
