Job Title Registered Nurse – ICU (Float Pool) Location Mission Viejo, CA | Acute Care Hospital Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care in an ICU setting with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio • Float between ICU floors and, as needed, to lower-acuity units such as telemetry — floating may occur up to 100% of shifts • Document patient care and clinical assessments using Epic EMR • Commit to working a minimum of every other weekend, with the expectation that weekend frequency may increase to meet unit needs • Must be available to work 3 of the 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day • Maintain current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications throughout the assignment Required Qualifications • Active RN license — compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses are not accepted • Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (BCLS), and NIH Stroke Scale • Must be open to floating to sister facilities in the surrounding area • All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial submission — post-offer RTO requests may not be granted • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard rates; candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a local rate Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience with Epic EMR charting • Prior travel nursing or float pool experience • Comfort working across varying acuity levels, including telemetry and step-down environments Why Join Us • Work at a large, well-established acute care hospital with 488 staffed beds in a desirable Southern California location • Enjoy free on-site parking and a structured ICU environment with defined patient ratios
