Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Float Location Saint Louis, MO | Short Term Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) Key Responsibilities • Float across medical, surgical, oncology, neuro, renal, and cardiology units within scope of practice to meet facility needs • Receive unit assignments via a recorded call-in line up to 1 hour before scheduled shift start when in the float pool; pre-assignment to a specific unit may occur for a defined period and will be communicated in advance • Provide direct patient care with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5–6 on days and weekends and 1:6 on nights • Utilize lift devices including ceiling lifts and bladder scanners (training provided) • Document patient care using the EPIC electronic health records system • Fulfill every-other-weekend obligation (Saturday/Sunday) or a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule, plus holiday rotation Required Qualifications • Active RN license in Missouri or a qualifying compact state (pending licensure considered at time of submittal; compact license must match permanent residence) • Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience • BCLS and ACLS certifications required • IV start competency and Telemetry certification required • Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible • No more than 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission Preferred Experience / Skills • Prior experience with EPIC charting system strongly preferred • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHS) certification preferred • Experience floating across multiple acute care units or service lines Why Join Us • Free parking on-site and a structured float process designed to keep travelers informed of unit assignments in advance when possible • Expected schedule of 3 shifts per 13-week contract with cancelled shift provisions, offering a degree of scheduling predictability
