Job Title Surgical Services – CVOR Tech Location Wilmington, NC | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | 4x10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM | On-call requirement: 2 days per week and every third weekend Key Responsibilities • Scrub for all assigned CVOR cases, including cardiac and vascular surgery procedures • Apply and maintain aseptic technique, universal protocol (time-out), sharp safety, specimen handling/labeling, and sterilization/disinfection standards throughout all cases • Adhere to fire safety and laser safety protocols in the surgical environment • Float to Main OR and Vascular OR as needed based on unit demand • Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled, including weekend rotations • Support organ donation and harvesting procedures as required Required Qualifications • Minimum 1.5 years of CVOR and trauma work setting experience required • Travel experience required • Experience working with adult through geriatric patient populations • Active BLS certification required • NBSTSA certification required • Active NC license or compact license (pending acceptable at time of submission) • Local candidates are welcome; a lower rate applies for candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience working in a community hospital setting • Experience with organ donation procedures • Familiarity with Epic electronic health records system • Exposure to a broad range of surgical specialties including vascular and cardiac cases Why Join Us • Work within a high-acuity surgical services department supporting a wide range of multi-specialty inpatient, outpatient, and emergent procedures including vascular, cardiac, neurosurgery, orthopedic, and more • Scrubs provided and a structured orientation period offered to support a smooth transition into the role
