Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Location Santa Monica, CA | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit within an acute care hospital setting • Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic EMR • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans • Float to sister facilities nearby the contracted facility as needed • Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day • Complete required onboarding modules prior to start and during orientation Required Qualifications • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission — pending licenses are not accepted • BLS certification required • Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience • First-time travelers are not eligible for this position • All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of candidate submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered • Local candidates (within 50 miles) are welcome to apply Preferred Experience / Skills • Prior experience charting in Epic EMR • Experience working in a high-volume acute care hospital environment • Familiarity with float responsibilities across multiple units or facilities Why Join Us • Work at a well-established beachside acute care facility in a desirable Southern California location • Day shift schedule with consistent hours in a structured, team-oriented environment
