To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced degree and/or MBA preferred. • Significant experience in FP&A, strategic finance, expense management, or related finance roles, preferably supporting technology, engineering, or software organizations. • Experience managing or analyzing vendor spend, procurement-related expenses, or software investment portfolios. • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting. • Demonstrated ability to work across large, complex organizations and influence stakeholders outside direct reporting lines. • Experience partnering with functions such as Sourcing, Engineering, IT Asset Management, and broader CFO organizations. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess large data sets, identify trends, and solve ambiguous problems. • Understanding of data quality challenges and data flows across finance, procurement, and asset management systems. • Ability to bring a focus on business outcomes to financial process and tooling decisions. • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for finance and non-finance audiences. • Strong executive presence when engaging senior leadership. Preferred Characteristics • Strategic thinker who can connect financial detail to broader business priorities. • Highly collaborative and effective in matrixed environments. • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and building structure in evolving processes. • Strong attention to detail balanced with the ability to synthesize key messages quickly. • Results-oriented with a focus on ownership, execution, and continuous improvement. Example Impact Areas • Improve visibility into third-party software spend across the engineering organization. • Strengthen forecast accuracy and planning discipline for vendor expenses. • Enhance data integrity and connectivity across finance, sourcing, and asset management workflows. • Support more informed decisions on renewals, optimization opportunities, and investment trade-offs. • Build stronger cross-functional alignment around software expense governance and management.
