General Superintendent
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Reports to: Division Leadership
About the Role
National Electrical Contractor hiring a General Superintendent to lead field operations across Oklahoma electrical projects. You'll plan, coordinate, and supervise field labor on several mid-sized projects at once. You'll own labor productivity and labor costs, and give crews the technical and administrative direction they need to deliver safe, high-quality work on schedule.
This is a hands-on field leadership role. You'll spend most of your time on jobsites, working closely with Project Managers, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. The right person is self-motivated, enjoys teaching and developing people, and does well in a team-first environment.
What You'll Do
• Plan field work, including construction methods, sequencing, manpower, materials, equipment, and schedules.
• Run day-to-day construction on several mid-sized projects at the same time.
• Build and maintain project schedules with Project Managers, tracking critical path items and milestones.
• Train, lead, and develop field staff, and mentor junior project team members.
• Find and solve field problems quickly, and keep Project Managers and owners informed on site issues, conflicts, schedule, and quality.
• Coordinate subcontractors so materials, equipment, and inspections are in place to support the schedule.
• Make sure subcontractors understand their scopes and meet schedule, quality, and contract requirements.
• Enforce the project safety program, including weekly inspections and toolbox talks. Correct problems as they come up and support incident investigations.
• Work with Project Managers and owner's representatives to make sure work matches the drawings and specifications.
• Support Project Managers on change orders, claims, subcontractor disputes, quality control, and cost and schedule forecasts.
• Lead project closeout and get punch lists finished on time.
What You Bring
• 15+ years of experience as a Superintendent.
• A track record of running projects over $20M.
• Journeyman license or equivalent.
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor field teams.
