The Department of Management’s Division of Information Technology (DoIT) is seeking a highly skilled Senior .NET Developers to join our team. As a vital member of our team, you will play a key role in advancing our DevOps initiatives and delivering secure, high-quality technical solutions for our customers. The position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance development practices and automate pipelines that accommodate substantial data volumes. This remote position requires attendance during standard business hours Monday through Friday, with on-site presence strongly preferred. As a Senior .NET Developer, your responsibilities will include: • Designing and implementing scalable DevOps processes to support the development and deployment of enterprise-level applications. • Leading automation, CI/CD, and cloud technology initiatives, including centralizing code repositories within GitHub or Azure DevOps to streamline workflows. • Evaluating and enhancing coding practices by integrating automated scanning tools to uphold rigorous standards of code quality and security. • Proactively managing technical debt and driving continuous improvement throughout development cycles. • Optimizing processes related to code branching, merging, and releasing to ensure seamless and efficient deployments. • Automating build and deployment workflows to minimize manual intervention and maximize operational efficiency. • Enhancing unit and integration test coverage to guarantee reliability and performance of applications. • Demonstrating proficiency in .NET Core, applying structured, pattern-based development practices for complex logic implementations. Required Skill Set • C#, ASP.NET, MVC, .NET Core development • Security practices (secure coding, static code analysis, data protection/encryption, etc.) • Azure DevOps, GIT, GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, CI/CD • Automated Testing and documentation, Test Driven Development, Gating Deployments • TSQL language skills with MS SQL • Code quality and security scanning tools • Code branching, merging, and release process optimization
