Job Title Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery Location Lafayette, IN | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:00–06:30) Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care for labor, induction, scheduled and unscheduled C-sections, C-sections with salpingectomy, SROM, PPROM, hypertension, preeclampsia, and antenatal patients • Manage triage patients and antepartum patients across varying acuity levels in accordance with AWHONN staffing guidelines • Operate unit equipment including CADD epidural pumps, Alaris IV pumps, Phillips wired and wireless monitoring, Periwatch, Hillrom labor beds, Draeger Radiant warmers, vein light, and V-scan • Utilize birthing and peanut balls as appropriate during patient care • Float within the Maternal Child Health (MCH) service line as required, including to affiliate facilities as needed • Document patient care using Cerner electronic health records Required Qualifications • Active, unencumbered Indiana RN license — must be in hand prior to start date; pending licenses are not accepted • Required certifications (must be in hand at time of submission): BLS, ACLS, NRP, FHM • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience (first-time travelers accepted) • Nursing degree from a program accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation • Must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays • Indiana residents are considered local and are not eligible for this position Preferred Experience / Skills • Charge nurse experience in a Labor and Delivery setting • Familiarity with Periwatch Vigilance monitoring system • Experience with high-acuity obstetric patients including preeclampsia and unscheduled surgical cases Why Join Us • Work in a short-term acute care facility following AWHONN staffing guidelines, typically supporting 1:1 ratios for active labor patients • Complimentary on-site parking available
