We are currently seeking a Full Time Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Pamunkey Regional Jail located in Hanover, Virginia. About this position: The Nurse Practitioner works under the supervision of a physician in a correctional environment and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, performing assessments, diagnosing patients, and medication management. Education • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Certifications / Experience • Current, unrestricted license to practice as Registered Nurse Practitioner in the state the facility is located (maintain a current copy of license on file at the facility) • 1 year of direct work experience, preferred • Active CPR certification • Appropriate certification to write prescriptions under the authority of the Collaborative Physician in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
