The Institute supports the firm’s commitment to advance American prosperity. We use our proprietary data to understand the forces shaping the economy and develop policy solutions that promote economic growth. As a Policy Lead for Business, Growth and Entrepreneurship, you will lead a policy strategy on issues affecting American business dynamism and formation, access to capital, and regulatory barriers to entry and expansion in alignment with the firm's American Dream Initiative (ADI). You will partner with Global Government Relations (GGR) and coordinate closely with colleagues from the lines of business and across Corporate Responsibility (CR). You will also work with the Institute's President and its Head of Policy and Operations to provide economic policy expertise and strategic counsel to the firm’s senior leadership. We are looking for a creative and strategic thinker with deep policy expertise, strong judgment, and the ability to develop innovative policy approaches where JPMC can make a meaningful and distinctive contribution. Job Responsibilities • Serve as the JPMC Institute’s policy lead on business growth and entrepreneurship, developing rigorous, actionable policy recommendations related to financial stability and resilience, wealth-building, economic mobility, and other related policies that contribute to American prosperity. • Evaluate the merits, tradeoffs, and potential impact of policy approaches, including government incentives, tax policy, trade measures, public-private initiatives, and other interventions. • Partner with GGR and other CR colleagues to design and lead policy campaigns from concept to execution to advance policy priorities and deliver outcomes. • Ensure policy priorities and campaigns are aligned with ADI and coordinated with colleagues across CR. • Represent the Institute and JPMorganChase in external policy discussions, including with government officials, industry leaders, academic experts, and other stakeholders. • Shape the Institute’s thought leadership on financial health through policy analysis and public engagement. Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills • Bachelor's degree required. • 12+ years of relevant experience in public policy, advocacy, government, the private sector, or related fields, with a demonstrated focus on financial health, financial stability and resilience, wealth-building, economic mobility, or other related policies. • Demonstrated track record of setting and advancing policy strategy and delivering outcomes in large, complex organizations. • Strong understanding of government decision-making processes and public-private mechanisms that shape economic and market outcomes. • Demonstrated ability to translate complex policy issues and economic analysis into practical strategies, actionable recommendations, and measurable results. • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and build credibility with senior external and internal stakeholders. • Strong analytical capabilities and independent judgment, including the ability to evaluate competing perspectives, challenge conventional thinking constructively, and distinguish between promising policy ideas and approaches likely to succeed in practice. • Entrepreneurial mindset, intellectual curiosity, and commitment to the JPMC Institute’s mission. Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills • Advanced degree in public policy, economics, law, business, or a related field is preferred. • Established network of relationships across government, industry, academia, and other relevant stakeholder communities. • Recognized expertise or an established record of thought leadership in this portfolio. • Experience representing an organization publicly through speaking engagements, convenings, media-facing forums, and high-level stakeholder engagements.
