Job Title Travel RN – Cardiovascular Pediatric ICU (CVPICU) Location Denver, CO | Pediatric Cardiac ICU Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days, 7A–7P | Expected 48 hours/week Key Responsibilities • Provide direct critical care nursing to pediatric congenital cardiac patients in a 10-bed Cardiac ICU setting with 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios • Manage post-operative care including inotropic and vasopressor continuous infusions, IVF, and chest tube management, as well as care of post-sternotomy and open-chest patients • Operate and monitor specialized equipment including Philips monitors, Medfusion and Baxter pumps, and advanced support devices such as Centrimag, Prismax, and Arctic Sun • Administer and monitor moderate sedation per unit protocols • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including board-certified pediatric and congenital heart intensivists to deliver compassionate, evidence-based critical care • Maintain documentation accurately using Meditech EMR Required Qualifications • Active RN license eligible for practice in Colorado • Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Critical Care experience (required per unit director) • ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required • Experience with pediatric or congenital cardiac patient populations Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience with peritoneal dialysis and/or CRRT • ECMO bedside experience • Strong communication skills with the ability to function as a resource and educator within the team • Organized, flexible, and adaptable in a fast-paced critical care environment Why Join Us • Join a highly experienced RN team averaging 10 years of nursing experience, recognized for high engagement and a strong culture of safety, committed to evidence-based practice and quality metrics • Work within a well-resourced ECMO Center of Excellence environment, partnering with a dedicated intensivist team to support complex congenital cardiac patients and their families
