Job Title Physical Therapist (Travel Contract) Location Port Charlotte, FL | Acute Care / Inpatient Rehabilitation Schedule / Job Type Contract (13 or 26 weeks) | Full-Time | Days, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Onsite Key Responsibilities • Perform physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for inpatient acute care and rehabilitation patients • Carry a caseload of approximately 9–10 patients per day across all floors of the facility, meeting a 75% productivity standard • Utilize mobility equipment and other therapeutic tools to support patient recovery and functional progress • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including OT and SLP professionals to deliver coordinated patient care • Document patient assessments, progress, and treatment plans accurately within the Meditech EMR system Required Qualifications • Valid Florida Physical Therapist (PT) license required • MPT or DPT degree from an accredited college or university required • Acute care experience required • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills • Local candidates are welcome to apply Preferred Experience / Skills • Prior experience with Meditech EMR • ICU experience • Outgoing, team-oriented personality with a collaborative approach to patient care Why Join Us • Join a well-established inpatient rehabilitation and acute care team of approximately 20 PT caregivers within a 253-bed hospital that includes a dedicated 20-bed Inpatient Rehab unit • Work in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment with consistent day-shift scheduling and a structured assignment of 13 or 26 weeks
