Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Location Florence, SC | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required | On-Call (PRN Low Census) Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with standard ratios of 1:6, with potential flex to 1:7 in the event of unplanned staffing absences • Perform telemetry monitoring and respond to rapid response situations as needed • Administer insulin and manage patients requiring medical-surgical and telemetry-level care • Document accurately and efficiently using Epic electronic health records • Float within scope to like units or sister facilities to meet facility staffing needs • Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November), including peak months of August and September Required Qualifications • Active South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license — must be in hand prior to start date • BLS certification required • Epic electronic health records experience required • Proficiency in Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Insulin administration, and Rapid Response • Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted • Previous permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler Preferred Experience / Skills • Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical RN experience preferred; first-time travelers are welcome to apply • ACLS certification preferred • NIHSS certification preferred Why Join Us • Free on-site parking available • Block scheduling requests may be considered for approval prior to assignment start
