Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Location Florence, SC | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | 10-Week Assignment | Days, 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required | On-Call (PRN Low Census) Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with expected ratios of 1:6, with potential flex to 1:7 in the event of unplanned staffing absences • Perform and respond to telemetry monitoring, including recognition of cardiac rhythms and initiation of rapid response protocols • Administer medications including insulin and manage patients requiring close monitoring • Float within scope to like units or sister facilities as needed to meet facility staffing needs • Document all patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records • Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June–November), as required by facility policy Required Qualifications • Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date • BLS certification required • Proficiency in Epic electronic health records • Competency in Med/Surg, MS/Tele, telemetry, insulin administration, and rapid response • Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted • All requested time off must be submitted at the time of candidate submission; time-off requests after submission will not be accepted Preferred Experience / Skills • Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience preferred • ACLS certification preferred • NIHSS certification preferred • First-time travelers are welcome to apply Why Join Us • Complimentary on-site parking available for the duration of the assignment • Opportunity to gain experience in a structured Medical Surgical environment with a defined 10-week contract and consistent day shift scheduling
