Job Title Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology (IR) / Special Procedures Location San Antonio, TX | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Full-Time | Days, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM | Approximately 6-week assignment | Expected 40 hours/week | Onsite Key Responsibilities • Provide intra-procedural nursing care within an Interventional Radiology setting • Monitor and assess patients throughout IR procedures, responding promptly to changes in patient condition • Collaborate with the procedural team to ensure safe and effective patient care during interventional and special procedures • Participate in on-call rotation, with the expectation of up to 12 call days during the assignment, including at least one weekend • Adhere to department protocols, scheduling requirements, and rapid response expectations with no time-off requests or special scheduling accommodations Required Qualifications • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license • ACLS certification required – must be included in submission packet • BLS certification required – must be included in submission packet • Experience in Interventional Radiology or Special Procedures nursing • Ability to fulfill on-call obligations, including weekends, as scheduled • Availability to begin immediately; no time-off requests will be accommodated during this assignment Preferred Experience / Skills • Prior experience in a rapid response or fast-paced procedural nursing environment • Familiarity with intra-procedural monitoring and IR-specific equipment and workflows • Strong ability to adapt quickly in high-acuity, time-sensitive clinical situations Why Join Us • Opportunity to gain focused experience in a specialized IR/Special Procedures environment through a rapid response contract placement • Work with a dedicated procedural team in a high-volume acute care setting
