Job Title Registered Nurse – CVICU / ICU Float Location Saint Louis, MO | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) Key Responsibilities • Float across multiple ICU settings including Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac/Heart and Vascular, Neurology, Medicine, and COVID units • Deliver high-acuity patient care at a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio within ICU settings • Float to inpatient floors (Oncology, Neurology, Med Surg, Medicine, Trauma, Heart and Vascular, COVID) when ICU census is low, with a ratio of no more than 1:3 • Operate as a strong, independent clinician capable of adapting across critical and non-critical care environments • Adhere to weekend rotation requirements (every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule) plus holiday rotation • Chart accurately using EPIC electronic health records system Required Qualifications • Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience; at least 1 year of CV ICU or ICU Float experience required • Active Missouri RN license or compact license (must match permanent residence); Illinois license must be in hand at time of submittal if applicable • BCLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification required • Proficiency with ventilators, IV insertion, telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation required • Must not be a first-time traveler • Must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible Preferred Experience / Skills • Cardiac skill set including Swan-Ganz/hemodynamic interpretation, IABP, Impella, ECMO, vasoactive drips, and CRRT • Experience with triage, ICP monitoring, PA lines, and Level 1 Trauma • Prior EPIC experience strongly preferred • Certifications such as CCRN, ONS, TNCC, CPI, or Chemo certification preferred Why Join Us • Work within a short-term acute care facility offering exposure to a diverse range of high-acuity ICU specialties • Complimentary on-site parking available for the duration of your assignment
