Job Title Registered Nurse – Pediatric Emergency Room Location Saint Louis, MO | Children's Acute Care Hospital Schedule / Job Type Contract | 12-Hour Rotating Days/Nights (3x12) | Onsite | Every other weekend required | Holiday availability required Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Pediatric Emergency Room at a Level 1 Trauma Center • Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 4:1 or 5:1 in accordance with unit standards • Perform and assist with conscious sedation procedures within the unit • Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health record system • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a teaching hospital environment to deliver high-quality pediatric emergency care Required Qualifications • Active RN license in Missouri or a qualifying compact state (pending license submissions accepted; compact license must match permanent residence state) • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted • BLS certification required • PALS certification required • ACLS certification required • ENPC certification required • TNCC or ATLS certification required • Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted Preferred Experience / Skills • Prior experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center or high-acuity pediatric emergency setting • Familiarity with conscious sedation protocols in an emergency department environment • Experience charting in EPIC Why Join Us • Opportunity to work in a high-acuity, Level 1 Trauma Center within a respected children's acute care teaching hospital • Expected weekly hours of 36 hours (3x12) or 48 hours (4x12) depending on confirmed shift configuration
