Job Title Registered Nurse – Pediatric Emergency Room Location Saint Louis, MO | Acute Care Children's Hospital Schedule / Job Type Contract | 12-Hour Rotating Days/Nights (3x12 or 4x12) | Onsite Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Pediatric Emergency Department within a Level 1 Trauma Center • Manage patient assignments at ratios of 4:1 or 5:1 in an acute care pediatric setting • Assist with and monitor conscious sedation procedures performed within the unit • Utilize EPIC for all clinical documentation and patient charting • Participate in rotating day and night shifts, including every-other-weekend availability • Maintain availability to work during designated holiday weeks per unit scheduling requirements Required Qualifications • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Missouri (or a qualifying compact license matching permanent residence); pending licensure submissions may be considered • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting; first-time travelers are not accepted for this role • Required certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, ENPC, and TNCC or ATLS • Must not reside within 75 miles of the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position • Must be available to work during holiday weeks; no RTO permitted during the first week of assignment • All RTO requests must be finalized at time of submission — no additional RTO or schedule changes can be requested after submission, offer, or start date Preferred Experience / Skills • Prior experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center or high-acuity pediatric emergency environment • Familiarity with conscious sedation protocols and pediatric trauma care • Experience charting in EPIC • Comfort with rotating shift schedules in a high-volume emergency department Why Join Us • Opportunity to work in a nationally recognized teaching hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center specializing in pediatric acute care • Expected weekly hours of 36 (3x12) or 48 (4x12), providing consistent scheduling in a structured clinical environment
