Job Title Registered Nurse – Emergency Room Location Apple Valley, CA | Acute Care Hospital Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting within an acute care hospital • Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4, delivering safe and effective nursing interventions • Document all patient care activities and assessments accurately using Epic EMR • Participate in weekend coverage on an every-other-weekend basis, with the possibility of additional weekends to meet unit needs • Commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day • May be expected to float between nearby sister facilities as needed Required Qualifications • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission — pending licenses not accepted • Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience • ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS certifications required • Epic EMR experience required • Must submit all RTO and scheduling requests at the time of submission; post-submission RTO requests may not be granted • Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at the standard rate; candidates within 50 miles should inquire about local rate options Preferred Experience / Skills • Community hospital experience preferred • Familiarity with Providence health system facilities and workflows Why Join Us • Free on-site parking available • First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this opportunity
