What you must have • Thorough knowledge of general financial accounting, month-end close, account reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and internal controls. • Ability to review payroll-related accounting and general ledger activity without responsibility for payroll processing or payroll tax compliance. Nice to have • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. • At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience reviewing the work of others or leading accounting processes. • Prior experience with payroll accounting, payroll journal entries, and payroll-related account reconciliations preferred. • Public accounting experience preferred. • Experience with M&A integrations or purchase accounting is a plus. • Experience with general ledger systems and Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills.
