Position: EHS Technician Location: Durham, NC Pay: $28 to $32/hour Experience: 3 years of hazardous materials or waste-handling experience. Education: High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred. Type: Full-time; Contract -to-hire Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm or 6:30am to 3:00pm Greene Resources is seeking an EHS Technician to join a growing and dynamic team! Job Description: • Handle, store, and manage hazardous waste in compliance with applicable regulations. • Identify waste streams and support proper classification and disposal. • Prepare and maintain accurate shipment documentation. • Update spreadsheets and enter data into databases with a high level of accuracy. • Review numbers, track expenses, and reconcile invoices. • Process purchase requisitions, including in SAP. • Support industrial hygiene sampling, safety observations, and job hazard analyses. • Operate a forklift to move and stage materials. • Drag, lift, and maneuver 50-lb drums. • Work outdoors for most of the shift. • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE. Position Requirements: • Valid U.S. driver’s license. • Ability to operate a forklift or obtain forklift certification. • DOT Hazardous Materials Basics and RCRA training preferred. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including spreadsheets and data entry. • Comfort working with numbers, tracking expenses, and reconciling invoices. • SAP and purchase requisition experience preferred. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
