Construction Site Safety Officer – Chesapeake, VA Pay: $29–$32/hour, based on experience Location: Chesapeake, VA Hours: 8 AM to 5 PM OSHA 30 Certification Required Skilled Trades Partners (STP) is looking for a dependable, safety-focused Construction Site Safety Officer for a large commercial flat roof construction project in Chesapeake, VA. We are seeking someone with construction safety experience who can help maintain a safe work environment, monitor daily jobsite activities, and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations. Job Responsibilities • Monitor daily construction activities to ensure OSHA compliance. • Oversee safety practices on a large commercial flat roof project. • Identify potential hazards and take corrective action. • Ensure workers are properly using PPE and fall protection equipment. • Conduct daily safety inspections and toolbox talks. • Work closely with site supervisors and crews to maintain a safe jobsite. • Document and report safety concerns or incidents. Qualifications • OSHA 30 Certification REQUIRED. • Previous construction site safety experience preferred. • Knowledge of fall protection and working-at-heights safety requirements. • Commercial roofing or large commercial construction experience a plus. • Strong communication skills and attention to detail. • Reliable transportation and dependable work ethic.
