Superintendent – Commercial Construction Location: Oxford, MS Salary: $75,000–$85,000 DOE + Benefits Employment Type: Full-Time Service Specialists recruiting agency is partnering with an established commercial construction company in Oxford, MS, to find an experienced Superintendent to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on, leading projects in the field, and taking pride in delivering quality work. Our client is looking for a dependable, organized leader who can manage day-to-day jobsite operations, keep projects moving, and build strong relationships with subcontractors and project teams. Key Responsibilities • Oversee daily field operations on commercial construction projects from start to finish. • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and onsite personnel. • Manage project schedules, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and on time. • Monitor construction quality and ensure work meets project plans, specifications, and company standards. • Conduct regular jobsite inspections and proactively address potential issues. • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite while enforcing OSHA regulations and safety protocols. • Work closely with Project Managers to communicate progress, scheduling updates, and project needs. • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and manpower to keep projects on track. • Identify and resolve field challenges while minimizing delays and maintaining project budgets. • Maintain accurate daily reports, project documentation, and jobsite records. Qualifications • Previous experience as a Superintendent or in a similar field leadership role within commercial construction. • Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, scheduling, and jobsite operations. • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications. • Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and managing project timelines. • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices. • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Highly organized, dependable, and comfortable making decisions in the field. • Ability to work collaboratively with Project Managers, subcontractors, and clients. • Familiarity with construction management software is a plus.
