The Registered Nurse RN Dialysis Staff position involves providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment. Operating within a dialysis unit, this role collaborates with healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive care, monitor patients during procedures, and ensure adherence to dialysis protocols for optimal patient well-being. Essential Job Function • Monitors and assesses patients' vital signs and overall condition during dialysis sessions to ensure safe and effective treatment. • Administers prescribed medications and treatments, including heparin administration and fluid management, to patients undergoing dialysis. • Operates and maintains dialysis equipment, ensuring its proper functioning and cleanliness for each session. • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to patients' specific needs. • Educates patients and their families about the dialysis process, self-care techniques, and dietary restrictions to promote optimal outcomes and quality of life. • Performs other duties as assigned. Education • Required: Associate's Degree in NursingPreferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Experience • Required: 2 years as a Registered Nurse with 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations Licensure/Certification/Listing • Required:Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact stateBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
