Description Automotive Diagnostic Technician Growing national auto auction company! Automotive Diagnostic Technician opening for our Baton Rouge/Hammond Region! Diagnostic experience with gas and diesel engines is required. This position includes a mechanic's demo van with travel to both auctions (Baton Rouge & Hammond). Rewards for Automotive Diagnostic Technician • $65,000.00 - $75,000.00, based on experience • Mechanic's Demo Van! • Monday - Friday schedule • No nights or weekends • Early off on Fridays • No upselling or overbilling • Steady work • Comprehensive benefits package • Generous paid time off • Paid holidays • Matching 401(k) • Career growth potential Responsibilities for Automotive Diagnostic Technician • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems on cars, vans, and light trucks. • Perform engine tune-ups and troubleshoot complex vehicle issues. • Repair or replace parts and components as needed. • Conduct routine maintenance, including cleaning and lubrication. • Maintain a clean and safe work environment. • Provide courteous, efficient customer service. • Communicate operational concerns to management in a timely manner. • Work independently and collaboratively with the team. • Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements Requirements for Automotive Diagnostic Technician • 5+ years of diagnostic automotive technician/mechanic experience. • Gas and diesel engine diagnostic experience is required. • Able to work on various makes and models. • Must be at least 21 years old. • Valid driver's license and a good driving record. • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Good set of tools (specialty tools provided). • Knowledge of mechanical systems and repair techniques. • Strong attention to detail and safety practices. • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and staff. • Able to prioritize tasks and handle urgent repairs. • Works independently and as part of a team. • Reliable, accountable, and professional. • Able to travel between the Baton Rouge and Hammond auction locations with provided vehicle. Physical Requirements for Automotive Diagnostic Technician • Ability to stand, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor operational environments. • Ability to use tools and mechanical equipment safely.
