⚡ Implementations Manager – Finance Transformation
🌍 New York or San Francisco (In Office)
💲 $145,000 – $190,000 + Equity
The Company
Our client is building software for finance teams and has reached the point where product-market fit is no longer the question. Adoption is growing, implementation demand is rising, and they’ve realised that onboarding is one of the biggest determinants of long-term customer success.
They’re now hiring people who’ve actually sat in the customer’s seat before.
The Role
This role tends to appeal to a specific type of accountant. Usually they’re the person who ended up owning every systems project, every process redesign, every reconciliation problem nobody else wanted, and eventually became more interested in fixing workflows than running them.
You’ll work directly with finance teams during some of their most operationally important projects. Sometimes that means redesigning how a process works. Sometimes it means untangling years of system complexity. Sometimes it means pushing back on a customer who’s trying to recreate the same process that’s frustrated them for years.
What you’ll be working on:
• Leading customer onboarding and implementation projects
• Translating accounting processes into scalable system workflows
• Working across ERP, finance, and data ecosystems
• Running stakeholder workshops and requirements sessions
• Supporting integrations, data migrations, and process redesign initiatives
• Partnering with product and engineering teams on complex customer requirements
• Creating repeatable implementation frameworks as the team grows
• Helping customers adopt new ways of working rather than replicating existing processes
What you’ll bring:
• Experience owning or managing an accounting close process – Big 4 or CPA experience preferred
• Strong exposure to ERP systems and finance technology – NetSuite or Workday
• A track record delivering complex operational or systems projects
• Confidence working directly with senior finance stakeholders
• Natural curiosity around automation, AI, and process improvement
• An ability to balance customer empathy with healthy challenge
Why this role?
You’ll be the person customers trust when they’re making meaningful changes to how their finance function operates. The best people in this team are credible accountants, strong operators, and naturally consultative. They enjoy understanding how things work, spotting where they break, and designing something better.
