Job Title Registered Nurse – First Assist / RNFA Location Orange, CA | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts (7:30–19:55) or 4x10-hour shifts available Key Responsibilities • Perform first assist duties across a broad range of surgical specialties including robotics, bariatric, general, colorectal, ortho/spine, vascular, urology, and gynecology • Participate in an on-call rotation, with an estimated 8 call days per 6-week schedule; call is split evenly across RNFAs • Cover kidney call rotation Monday through Friday (18:00–06:00) and Saturday/Sunday 24-hour kidney call (06:00–06:00) • Cover general call rotation Saturday and Sunday (07:00–17:00) and holiday general call rotation (07:00–17:00); no kidney call on holidays • Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day • May be expected to float between nearby sister facilities as needed Required Qualifications • Active California RN license or valid Compact RN license — must be in hand at time of submission • Minimum of 3 years of scrub and circulating experience required • Minimum of 1 year of RNFA experience required • Proficiency in robotics, bariatric, general, colorectal, ortho/spine, vascular, urology, and gynecology surgical procedures • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a traveler (local candidates may be considered under separate terms) • All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience working in a high-volume surgical environment with diverse specialty coverage • Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgical platforms • Strong adaptability and willingness to support call coverage across multiple surgical service lines Why Join Us • Opportunity to work in a dynamic, multi-specialty surgical setting with a well-established health system • Communication devices required for the assignment are provided at no cost to the clinician
