Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Location Memphis, TN | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Expected 48 hours/week; 36 hours/week may be considered Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit within a Short-Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center setting • Function within a team nursing model, collaborating with LPNs and medication nurses to manage a shared patient caseload (effective ratio approximately 1:6–1:7) • Perform on-call duties and weekend shifts as needed • Adhere to unit protocols and float to like units or campuses within a 20-mile radius as required • Comply with holiday scheduling requirements, including willingness to work a portion of applicable end-of-year holidays during the assignment Required Qualifications • Active RN license in the state of Tennessee or a compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines (no pending licenses accepted) • Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience (strictly enforced); first-time travelers must have 5+ years of specialty experience to be considered • At least one prior completed travel assignment required • Level I Trauma experience required • Large hospital experience required • Current BLS certification required; if expiring during the assignment, a documented renewal plan must be provided at time of submission • Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible Preferred Experience / Skills • 3 or more years of recent Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience • Experience with EPIC electronic health records • ADN accepted; BSN not required for this position Why Join Us • Opportunity to work at a high-acuity Level I Trauma Center with a structured team nursing model designed to support manageable patient loads • ASAP start date available for qualified candidates who meet all compliance requirements
