Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Location Maryville, TN | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours (19:00–07:30) Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit during night shift hours • Float to similar units as needed based on census demands • Assist with and monitor special procedures including post heart catheterization care, dialysis catheter placement, thoracentesis, and incision and drainage (I&D) • Administer and manage medications using the Omnicell medication system • Provide every-other-weekend coverage, with schedule subject to change based on unit need • Complete required pre-assignment testing and compliance modules within 48 hours of receiving login credentials Required Qualifications • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required • Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience • Minimum of 1 year of EPIC EMR experience • Must live more than 100 miles from all system facilities to be eligible at full rate; candidates residing 90–99.9 miles away may be considered at a reduced rate; candidates under 90 miles are not eligible (exceptions apply for Night Shift Adult Medical Tele/Adult Cardiac Tele/Progressive Care — must be 50+ miles from the contracted campus) Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience with Omnicell medication management systems • First-time travelers with strong relevant clinical experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis • Familiarity with bedside procedures such as thoracentesis and dialysis catheter care Why Join Us • Travelers may be eligible for reimbursement for time spent completing pre-assignment compliance modules (up to 16 hours) • Floating assignments are limited to units and tasks for which the traveler has demonstrated and documented competencies, supporting a safe and appropriate work environment
