Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Location Maryville, TN | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Night Shift | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours (19:00–07:30) | Every other weekend coverage expected, subject to change based on unit need Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit managing patients with higher oxygen demands, dialysis needs, atrial fibrillation, and post-cardiac catheterization diagnoses • Monitor and manage patients stepped down from ICU; no ventilator or vasopressor support required • Administer and monitor IV drips including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotalol initiation • Perform telemetry monitoring and respond to changes in patient cardiac status • Float to other like units as needed based on census demands, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies • Complete pre-assignment modules within 48 hours of receiving login credentials; modules are completed prior to start and on an annual basis Required Qualifications • Active Tennessee (TN) Registered Nurse license • ACLS certification required • BLS certification required • NIHSS certification required • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry or similar unit • Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required • Must reside more than 100 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible at full rate; candidates residing 50.0–99.9 miles away may be considered at a reduced rate; candidates residing under 50 miles are ineligible (Night shift – Adult Medical Tele / Adult Cardiac Tele / Progressive Care exception applies) Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac drip management • Familiarity with step-down or progressive care unit workflows • First-time travelers with strong relevant experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis Why Join Us • Orientation provided every Monday with a structured onboarding process to set travelers up for success • Pre-assignment module hours (up to 16 hours) may be eligible for reimbursement upon contract start
