Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Location Maryville, TN | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Night Shift | 4x12-hour shifts | 19:00–07:30 Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit managing patients with higher oxygen demands, dialysis needs, atrial fibrillation, and post-cardiac catheterization recovery • Monitor and manage patients stepping down from ICU level care; no ventilator or vasopressor support required • Administer and monitor drip medications including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotalol initiation • Perform and interpret telemetry monitoring for assigned patients • Provide weekend coverage on a rotating basis (every other weekend; subject to change based on unit need) • Float to other like units as needed based on census demands; floating will only occur to units for which competencies have been demonstrated and documented Required Qualifications • Active Tennessee RN license • ACLS certification required • BLS certification required • NIHSS certification required • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry unit • Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required • Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible at full rate; candidates residing 50–99.9 miles from the contracted campus may be considered at a reduced bill rate; candidates residing under 50 miles are ineligible Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience caring for step-down or progressive care patients • Familiarity with telemetry interpretation and cardiac drip management • Prior travel nursing experience; first-time travelers will be considered based on experience Why Join Us • Pre-assignment orientation modules are billable (up to 16 hours), offering additional compensation before your contract begins • Opportunity to work in a dynamic acute care environment with a variety of complex patient populations and specialized procedures
